Absa 91香蕉视频 this week donated a digital football table to the Anse Royale Youth Hostel Which provides temporary lodging for groups of students from neighbouring inner islands to the main island to complete their tertiary or extended studies.
Present to receive the donation on behalf of the hostel was hostel director Roger Alphonse who noted that they are constantly seeking healthier habits and routines to help out the students as studying is only part of the experience at the hostel.
鈥淲e are very grateful to the Absa team for extending our line-up of offerings currently available to our students while they reside with us,鈥� added Mr Alphonse.
Handing over the football table, head of compliance and member of the Absa 91香蕉视频 corporate social responsibility (CSR) committee Helda Antoine said as part of its citizenship promise, Absa 91香蕉视频 is always seeking new partnerships that benefit the community and allows it to extend a helping hand to vulnerable groups across our islands.听
鈥淥ur youngsters are the leaders of tomorrow, hence supporting and enabling them while they further their education as well as having a safe and healthy past time is one of many ways Absa 91香蕉视频 is ready to support this community of students,鈥� added Mrs Antoine who further noted that as part of its commitment to being a 鈥淔orce for Good鈥� in the community, they are also helping to provide safe spaces for keen young people to develop lifelong principles of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
鈥淭his initiative ties in with our long standing partnership and affiliation with the English Premier League as their African banking partner, and since football is one of our passion at Absa, we wish to share this with the Seychellois population,鈥� added Mrs Antoine.
The youth hostel is currently home to 162 Seychellois students from both Praslin and La Digue. The hostel has a capacity for 200 students and was inaugurated in 1999 to offer much-needed lodgings.
During the month of March 2023 Absa 91香蕉视频 also made donations to the Women in Action and Solidarity (Waso) non-governmental organisation (NGO) group, further enabling the association鈥檚 growing portfolio geared at supporting vulnerable groups of women across our islands.
