President Wavel Ramkalawan has conveyed his heartfelt congratulations and expressed his unwavering pride to the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ national beach soccer team following their spirited performance against Japan in yesterday’s Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup 2025 match hosted on home soil.
The Paradise Boys lost their third and last group A match on a 2-10 score against Japan.
Despite the result not being in 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’ favour, President Ramkalawan emphasised how proud he – and the entire nation – are of the team’s unwavering determination, courage, and sportsmanship throughout the match.
"You played with the heart. You gave it your all. And even in defeat, you have won the admiration and respect of the entire country," said the president after meeting the team in the changing room.
