In today’s special page, we will be focusing on the 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Institute of Art and Design whose core mandate is to train and prepare learners to meet the evolving demands of the creative and cultural industries in 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ. It aims to foster employment opportunities and promote innovative, critical thinking within the sector.
The institution, located at Anse Royale, provides full-time Certificate and Diploma programmes designed to equip learners with the knowledge, practical skills, and creative mindset essential for success in the creative sector, with a strong focus on visual arts. In addition, the 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Institute of Art and Design (SIAD) offers a variety of short courses catering to individuals who wish to enhance existing skills or explore new learning opportunities.
Currently, SIAD has a full-time enrolment of 94 learners and a dedicated team of 29 staff members, comprising both teaching and support staff. 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ NATION spoke to its director, Christine Chetty Payet.
