A special service will be held tomorrow, Friday June 6, 2025, to celebrate the life of the late Joe Samy who passed away last Friday.
In a message, the Samy, Manes, Hitie and Jeannevol families invite everyone to join them to celebrate and honour the life of Joe Samy at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Victoria. Viewing of his body will be between noon and 2pm, and will include a heartfelt tribute of his music performed by his musician friends.
This will be followed by a ceremony that will take place afterward. The family is asking attendees not to wear black, honouring the colourful life of Joe Samy. The family also says instead of bringing flowers, attendees should make a monetary contribution during the collection.
The event will also be live-streamed on a large screen in the garden and online for those unable to attend.
