Consumers might in the future be able to taste locally grown mushrooms now that some local farmers are being introduced to the production of the delicacy through the use of new technologies in a two-day training workshop taking place the Anse Boileau Crop and Research Centre.

The first training, which started yesterday and attended by women entrepreneurs, extension officers, business representatives, students and trainers from the 91㽶Ƶ Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture (SIAH), is being facilitated by Jannifer Mayamba, Mushrooms Research Scientist and expert from UIRI, Uganda Industrial Research Institute.
