A brief insight into school athletics in 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ

With the 45th National Inter-School Athletics Championships held last Saturday at Stad Linite done and dusted, the event has once again lived up to its legacy of being more than just a sporting event, but a symbol of national pride, youth talent, and community spirit.
Initially held on June 29, annually, to coincide with 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ' Independence Day celebrations, the event grew in scope and participation over the years, bringing together over 1,100 young athletes from Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue, competing in primary, and secondary school categories, alongside those from the various local post-secondary institutions (now professional centres).
