Young men bear brunt of hepatitisÌýcases in 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, says NBS report

Four out of five new hepatitis cases in 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ are men, with the highest infection rates found among individuals in their twenties and thirties.
This is according to new figures from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released to mark World Hepatitis Day on July 28.
The report confirms that 61 new hepatitis cases were recorded in 2023, with the majority concentrated in young adult males.
The data shows that people aged 20 to 39 accounted for 31 of the 61 cases, making this demographic the most affected.
