Sign language interpreters make history

For the first time in 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, the deaf community is gaining access to crucial information regarding the Presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled for September 25 to 27, 2025.
Since the start of the electoral process, Seychellois viewers have been able to appreciate the presence of local sign language interpreters in television adverts and press conferences. Anita Gardner, chairperson of the Association of Persons with Hearing Impairment (Aphi), explained that 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ now boasts nine sign language interpreters.
