Study highlights problems posed by electronic waste and used batteries

Waste electrical and electronic equipment, and used batteries are increasingly becoming a problem in 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ, a recently concluded feasibility study has revealed.
Speaking at a validation workshop hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment (MACCE) at Savoy Resort & Spa, yesterday, director of waste management at MACCE, Federick Kinloch explained that with the increasing use of electrical and electronic equipment, the volume of e-waste and used batteries will continue to rise, making it crucial to establish effective systems for their collection, recycling, and safe disposal.
