Pancreatic cancer awareness month is a global healthcare observance which takes place annually throughout the month of November. Pancreatic cancer is the fourteenth most prevalent cancer and the seventh leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide, with higher prevalence in richer and more developed countries. Many reported cases of pancreatic cancer are usually in the late stages when treatment has little to no benefit. This is largely due to the fact that many people are unaware of the condition, its symptoms and how to detect it.
