91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ badminton gets new equipment from Japan |23 January 2020

New players who want to join badminton can now be more easily accommodated after the 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Badminton Association received a new batch of equipment which will help to boost its youth development programme.
In a special ceremony yesterday at the La Promenade Gymnasium, Japanese ambassador to 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ, Makoto Tominaga, handed over 80 new rackets to the chairman of the local badminton governing body Michel Bau who is also the president of the Badminton Confederation Africa.
Present at the ceremony were the president of the 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (Socga) Antonio Gopal, coaches, players alongside members of the local badminton association’s executive committee.
The gift is from the Nippon Badminton Association (NBA,) which is the national governing body for the sport of badminton in Japan.
