Rendez-vous for water-sports fun on Sunday

All watersports fanatics and those who wish to join the local yachting family are being invited for a canoeing and sailing fun day which will take place at the Sail Training Scheme at Roche Caïman on Sunday.
Being jointly hosted by the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Yachting Association (SYA) and the Miss 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ National Pageant, the event, other than an introduction to watersports for newcomers, is also a fundraising activity for the national pageant.
Talking about the event, chairman of the SYA, Alain Alcindor, said since one of the pageant contestants is a sailor, the association decided to invite them to the event as a sort of promotion.
He also guaranteed all parents that the activity will be safe for all children since there will be experienced coaches and life boats at the scene.
Sunday’s event will begin at 9am and will go on till 5pm.
