President Solih ends State visit |05 August 2019

Minister Mondon seeing off President Solih at the 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ International Airport
Following a two-day State visit comprising several Presidential engagements, the President of the Republic of Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, left 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ yesterday morning onboard an Emirates flight which departed at 8.20am.
President Solih, accompanied by First Lady Famza Ahmed and a delegation of senior Maldivian government officials, arrived in 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ on Friday August 2 where he met President Danny Faure and signed a number of agreements ensuring cooperation between the two states in sports and youth development, climate change and the Blue economy among other activities.
Present to see off President Solih yesterday was Designated Minister and Minister for Local Government, Home Affairs, Risk and Disaster Management, Youth, Sports and Culture Macsuzy Mondon, secretary of state for Cabinet Affairs Mohamed Afif, secretary of state for Foreign Affairs and the Blue Economy Ambassador Barry Faure and principal secretary for Foreign Affairs Marina Confait. Also present to see off the delegation was the honorary consul for the Republic of Maldives in the Republic of 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Lambert Bonne.
President Solih’s visit marks the President’s first state visit to 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ since his election to office in November 2018.
