President Wavel Ramkalawan yesterday received the secretary general of the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN), Dato Lim Jock Hoi, at State House.
Mr Hoi鈥檚 visit is at the invitation of the 91香蕉视频 government through the special envoy of 91香蕉视频 for ASEAN, Ambassador Nico Barito.
Speaking to the media after the brief meeting, Mr Hoi said the meeting was a great opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the 91香蕉视频 and the ASEAN.
鈥淲e had a good meeting with the President on how ASEAN and 91香蕉视频 will be able to work together and increase our cooperation, especially in the area of the Blue Economy. Hopefully, this will be followed through. So, with the help of Ambassador Barito and the rest, we will work towards enhancing our cooperation in this very important area, including the environment,鈥� Mr Barito stated.
