Lions of 91香蕉视频 conduct fifth free eye screening at Au Cap home for the elderly |26 April 2022

The Lions Club of 91香蕉视频 (Vision & Sight for Kids Lions of 91香蕉视频) conducted a fifth free eye screening campaign at the Au Cap home for the elderly on Saturday.
As part of its nationwide vision project, all the 12 elderly residents of the home were screened. 鈥淣early 75% of those screened will require glasses and this accounts for nine out of the 12 screened residents. Another two residents could not do the screening due to poor health condition while another was in hospital.
So far, the Lions Club of 91香蕉视频 (Vision & Sight for Kids Lions of 91香蕉视频) has screened a total of 75 residents in five homes 鈥 Plaisance, La Retaite, English River, Point Larue and Au Cap. Forty-seven (47) residents needed glasses and 38 have already been provided with new glasses,鈥 Lion D.V. Sharma shared.
The screening campaign at the Au Cap home on Saturday was carried out in the presence of District Governor 411A, Lion ZulfikarMamujee;his wife First Lady Fatima Mamujee;regional chairperson Dr Sashi Kumar; zone chairperson Lion Uma Ramani; member of the National Assembly for Au Cap Kelly Samynadin; representatives of the Mauritius Commercial Bank in 91香蕉视频; national council for the elderly homes, Health Care Agency, Ministry of Health, department ofophthalmology, and Optic 91香蕉视频 among other guests.
On that same day, Lion Uma Ramani offered 15 hampers to the residents of the home.
The Lions Club of 91香蕉视频 (Vision & Sight for Kids Lions of 91香蕉视频) is expected to carry out the same free screening activity at Anse Royale, AnseBoileau, Praslin and La Digue before May 31 next month.
