U.S. ambassador to 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Henry Jardine and his spouse, Kathleen Jardine, hosted a reception at the Hilton Northolme Hotel on Friday last week to celebrate the 249th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America.
The theme chosen for this year is ‘Exchange Program Alumni’. The gathering brought together local government officials, diplomats, alumni of U.S. programs, and civil society members to celebrate the strong relationship between the United States and 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ.
The U.S. Independence Day is celebrated every year on July 4. It marks the day in 1776 when the 13 American colonies declared independence from British rule by adopting the Declaration of Independence. It is a national holiday in the United States, celebrated with fireworks, parades, and other patriotic events. Â
