Illegal lobster fishing remains a significant problem in 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, the latest lobster fishing survey conducted by the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Fisheries Authority has revealed.
The results of the study were revealed during a validation workshop organised by the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Fisheries Authority (SFA), held at Savoy Resort & Spa, yesterday morning. According to Dr Ameer Ebrahim, consultant with The True Nature Conservancy (TNC), it is estimated that 10 percent of lobsters in 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ are caught illegally, with demand for the delicacy surpassing supply.Ìý
