Two more deaths and 41 new cases in five days |04 March 2021
91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ has registered two more Covid-19 related deaths, bringing to 13 the number of Seychellois casualties, while 41 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded since the last update bringing the total number of cases recorded in 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ to 2,890.
Of the new cases, three are from samples collected on February 26, nine from February 27, one from February 28, 22 from
March 1 and six from March 2.
Two persons, one aged in the early 30s and the other above 80 years, died of Covid-related illnesses on February 28 and March 1, respectively. They both had underlying medical conditions. This brings to 13 the number of Covid-related deaths in 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ.
Seventy-two (72) cases met discharge criteria yesterday and have been discharged to convalescence.
Everyone is advised to continue practice the different measures to stop the spread of Covid-19. Keep interactions to immediate households (the persons you live with) only and to not gather in crowds. Other measures to follow:
• Wear a mask in public places and where physical distancing cannot be maintained
• Practise hand hygiene regularly
• Avoid gatherings and crowds
• Avoid sharing objects
• Practise physical distancing of more than 1 metre.
